The action was brought for goods sold and de- ■ livered. The complaint alleged that the plaintiff was a business • corporation, organized under the laws of the state of New Jersey and lawfully doing business within the state of New York, and that during the years 1896 and 1897, it sold goods to the defendant ■' at the agreed price of $72.88, and that that sum- became due and ■ payable on the 18th day of January, 1897.
