*600 It is not uncommon for a trial court to supplement its jury instructions during jury deliberations. In fact, our court rules specifically authorize supplemental instructions. Yet, what is not common is for a trial court to fail initially to give any instruction on two entire counts, and then to supplement with full instructions on those counts. While not common, such a circumstance is not unconstitutional if corrected before a jury returns its verdict, and a party is not barred from asking for supplemental instructions even if the party had earlier acquiesced to the original, incomplete…
