On March 19, 1956, the Chancery Court of Tippah County, Mississippi, entered a decree of divorce in favor of Jeanne Duncan Crowder against her husband, Frank Lindoerfer, and awarded sole custody of said parties’ minor child, Nettie Katherine Lindoerfer, then aged two years, to Jeanne Duncan Lindoerfer, appellee herein, but with the provision that the maternal grandfather, T. E. Duncan, one of the appellants herein, be awarded temporary custody of said minor child until such time as the child’s mother was able to provide a suitable…
