The Waterbury Hospital was incorporated by special Act of the legislature, “ for the purpose of establishing and maintaining a hospital in the town of Waterbury.” Under this authority it was organized “ for the purpose of furnishing medical and surgical care, nurses, medicines and food, to patients suffering from disease or from injuries.” It has no capital stock, and its members can derive no profit from the corporation.
