The libelant, through a broker, made an agreement with the defendants November 13, 1884, to carry a cargo of coal on the schooner Ireland for them from South Amboy, New Jersey, to Boston, at a specified freight. The defendant’s office was in New York city, where the contract was made. They promised that the cargo should be delivered on the seventeenth day of November. The master of the schooner was present at the time of the negotiations.
