Judgment unanimously affirmed. Memorandum: Defendant appeals from a judgment convicting him after a jury trial of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree (Penal Law § 220.39) and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third and seventh degrees (Penal Law §§ 220.16, 220.03). We reject the contention that Supreme Court abused its discretion in denying defendant’s motion for an adjournment of the trial. "The decision whether to grant an adjournment is ordinarily committed to the sound discretion of the trial court” (People v Spears, 64 NY2d 698, 699).…
