In 1872 the township of Concord, Ottawa county, was duly divided, and from the detached territory the new township of Bennington was constituted. At the time of said division the township of Concord was liable on an indebtedness for certain bonds previously issued by the town*236ship to build certain bridges. The question now presented is, whether Bennington township is liable to pay any portion of said indebtedness. Or rather, it is, whether the real estate situated in said township is thus liable.
