Under consideration by the Court is a motion filed on June 17, 2008, as supplemented on July 31, 2008, by Paul J. and Jeanne M. Griffin (the “Debtors”) pursuant to § 362(k) of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, 11 U.S.C. §§ 101-1532 (“Code”). Debtors allege that the United States of America Social Security Administration (“SSA”) violated the automatic stay and request the imposition of sanctions in the form of actual damages, specifically damages for emotional distress, and attorney’s fees.
