1. L. Carlton Belt executed his will on June 11, 1861, and died in 1862. The will was duly probated and admitted to record, and, so far as material here, was as follows: “After the payment of my just debts, I give, devise, and bequeath the whole of my estate, real *370and personal, to my wife, Elizabeth T. Belt, during her widowhood, to be as absolutely under her control and management as it now is under my own, being perfectly willing to trust my children to her care and her bounty.
