BOB McCOY, Justice.

I. Introduction

The trial court terminated the parental rights of Appellant Michael M. to his child M.R.J.M. The trial court denied Michael’s motion for new trial after a hearing under Family Code section 263.405 and signed an order finding that any appeals from the termination would be frivolous. See Tex. Fam.Code Ann. § 263.405(d) (Vernon 2008). Michael appealed from that finding and from the trial court’s judgment terminating his parental rights.
