JOHNSON, Circuit Judge.
In 1976, Building Engineering Services Co., Inc., (“BESCO”) hired the Montgomery Elevator Company (“Montgomery”) to service and maintain the elevators and escalators in the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Shortly thereafter, a young visitor to the Superdome was injured while using the escalator and a personal injury action was brought against BESCO and Montgomery.
