Plaintiffs Charles Gable and Precious Castner sued Defendants Universal Acceptance Corporation (WI) (UAC), Minnesota Repossessors, Inc. (RPI), and Chase Towing and Transport, Inc. (Chase), for damages arising out of the defendants' efforts to repossess Gable's car in late 2016 and again in early 2017. Gable and Castner asserted claims for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA"), 15 U.S.C. § 1692, et seq. , against RPI and Chase, as well as additional state statutory and common law claims against them and UAC.
