Following a bench trial, the defendant, Eddie Johnson, was found guilty of the offenses of home invasion (720 ILCS 5/12 — 11(a)(6) (West 2000)), residential burglary (720 ILCS 5/19 — 3(a) (West 2000)), and aggravated criminal sexual abuse (720 ILCS 5/12 — 16(c)(l)(i) (West 2000)). The trial court merged the aggravated-criminal-sexual-abuse conviction into the residential burglary conviction and sentenced the defendant to concurrent terms of 20 years’ imprisonment for home invasion and 15 years’ imprisonment for residential burglary.
