Hudle Lee Hardy was indicted for aggravated sexual assault. 1 A jury found him guilty of the lesser included offense of sexual assault. 2 The jury then found an enhancement allegation to be true, resulting in a mandatory life sentence. 3 Hardy appeals, contending the trial court erred in submitting to the jury a lesser offense and in admitting certain evidence. He also complains that the evidence supporting the enhancement allegation is legally and factually insufficient, and that he received ineffective assistance of counsel.
