On May 1, 2014, a jury convicted defendant Adam Velazquez (“Velazquez” or “defendant”) of five crimes related to defendant’s participation in a conspiracy to rob drug traffickers and business owners in New York City and Long Island.1 Velazquez now moves for a new trial pursu*485ant to Rule 33 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.
