for the Court:
¶ 1. On July 16, 2010, Larry Hymes filed suit in the Washington County Circuit Court against the State of Mississippi (the State), alleging that he was wrongfully convicted and imprisoned and that he is entitled to compensation as a result. On October 31, 2011, after a bench trial, the circuit court determined that Hymes had not proven that he was wrongfully convicted and imprisoned.
