On July 4, 1930, there was a parade of floats and similar devices on the streets of the city of Escanaba promoted by its Chamber of Commerce. The defendant Hewett Grocery Company, engaged in the wholesale business of selling groceries and provisions in that city, accepted the invitation to participate in the parade. The defendant Yalind was at that time the traveling representative of the Van Camp Produce Company.
