This appeal involves a dispute between a general contractor and a brick mason concerning work on a condominium project in Nashville. After the general contractor unilaterally terminated the subcontract before the work was complete, the brick mason filed an action in the Chancery Court for Davidson County to recover its lost profits. The contractor counterclaimed for the cost to correct portions of the brick mason’s work and for overpayments. The trial court awarded the brick mason $6,798 and dismissed the contractor’s counterclaim. The contractor has appealed. While we…
