In 2006, Holyoke Community College (the college) posted a position for an assistant professor of nutrition. Elizabeth Hebert, who many years earlier had been a tenured faculty member at the college, received an initial interview for the position. However, she did not advance to the final round, and the college eventually hired one of the three candidates who did.
