The Board of Governors of the Kentucky Bar Association has recommended to this Court that Lawrence R. Carmichael, whose bar roster address is P.O. Box 1023, Somerset, Kentucky, 42501, and KBA number is 81644, be permanently disbarred from the practice of law. The Board’s decision is based on Carmichael’s federal criminal conviction of attempted extortion, which the Board found constitutes a violation of both SCR 3.130-8.3(b) and SCR 3.130-8.3(c).
