Before the court for disposition is the omnibus motion filed on behalf of the defendant Terrance De-Vaughn Hawkins, which consists of a petition for writ of habeas corpus alleging that the Commonwealth has failed to present sufficient evidence *408that the defendant was in possession of a firearm. It also contains a motion for suppression of evidence contending that the police officers lacked probable cause or consent to search the vehicle where a firearm was discovered.
