In the case of Chandler v. The Willamette Valley (No. 10,862), a decree was entered in this court on June 9, 1896 (76 Fed. 838), directing the clerk, Southard Hoffman, to *297pay to Charles Clark, receiver of the Oregon Pacific Railroad Company, claimant of the steamship Willamette Valley, and the surplus proceeds derived from its sale, or to his proctors, after payment of all costs incurred in the case, the remnant of proceeds in the registry of this court, amounting to the sum of $23,524.45.
