This cause originated in a justice court and is a suit upon an account by plaintiff for salary as an employee of the defendant as Collector of the Revenue of the city of St. Louis from March 1st, to March 4, 1917. Plaintiff sues for his salary for said time as a deputy in said collector's office and also as assignee of a number of other claimants for salary for the same period, all being for wages as deputies of Mr. May while he served as collector.
