Ingram, Bailey and Handy were indicted in Calhoun superior court for the murder of King, and were put upon trial under a plea of not guilty. The record discloses substantially the following state of facts revealed by the testimony introduced in behalf of the State: King was the general agent of the owner of the land upon which he was living, having under his superintendence the farm. Ingram, also a white man, was living on the same place as an employee of the owner, and Bailey and Handy were negro laborers or renters upon the same land.
