A jury found the defendant, Roy Ambros Scott, guilty of aggravated sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-70a (a) (1)1 and attempted sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-70 (a) (1)2 and 53a-*52049 (a) (2).3 The trial court rendered judgment in accordance with the jury verdict,4 and the defendant appealed to the Appellate Court, which affirmed the judgment of conviction, with one judge dissenting.
