WILLIAMS, Justice.

This is an original proceeding to review an order of the State Industrial Court denying the petitioner, William C. Wolfe, claim*497ant below, compensation benefits under the provisions of the Oklahoma Workmen's Compensation Law. Parties will be referred to as they appeared before the State Industrial Court.

In denying the compensation claim of the claimant, the State Industrial Court held:

“That the claimant, at the time of the injury alleged herein, was an independent contractor and not an employee of the respondent, and claimant’s claim should be denied for lack of jurisdiction…
