This action was filed by the Housing Expediter (appellant) in August 1947 to enforce compliance with the Emergency Price Control Act of 1942, as amended, 50 U.S. C.A.Appendix, § 901 et seq., and the Blousing and Rent Act of 1947, 50 U.S.C.A.Appendix, § 1891 et seq. In an amended complaint the Expediter set out a schedule of alleged rental overcharges for 19 units or apartments in an apartment hotel operated by the defendants.
