This case arises from a dispute over plaintiff-appellant The Cadle Company’s (“Cadle”) alleged failure to pay legal fees to defendant-appellee Reiner, Reiner & Bendett (“Reiner”), a Connecticut law firm retained by Cadle to represent it in legal proceedings in Connecticut. Reiner brought suit in the Connecticut state courts and obtained two default judgments against Cadle.
