The parties filed separate appeals. Both appeals stem from a suit San Patricio County filed against Nueces County to determine their common boundary (“boundary suit”). 1 The trial court severed from the original suit, San Patricio’s claim for ad valorem taxes Nueces collected on disputed property (“tax suit”). A third suit between the same parties arose because Nueces filed a bill of review in connection with the trial court’s declaratory judgment in the boundary suit (“bill of review suit”).
