MICHIE, District Judge.

Mary Elizabeth Cashatt shot and killed her husband, Lola Vance Cashatt, and was subsequently convicted of voluntary manslaughter. At the time of his death, Lola Vance Cashatt was the owner of a policy of insurance issued by The Life Insurance Company of Virginia under which Mary Elizabeth Cashatt was the primary beneficiary and the insured’s children, Donna Lynn Cashatt and Randall Keith Cashatt, were the contingent beneficiaries.
