In appeal No. 1, defendant appeals from a judgment convicting him upon his plea of guilty of driving while intoxicated (Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1192 [2]) and, in appeal No. 2, he appeals from a judgment convicting him of arson in the second degree (Penal Law § 150.15) following a jury trial before the same County Court Judge who accepted the guilty plea in appeal No. 1.
