In this suit the plaintiffs seek to have a certain instrument declared an antichresis.

On January 9, 1920, Olivanne Acosta acquired by deed frbm Dominique Harang a certain tract of land on Bayou Lafourche in the Parish of Lafourche. The consideration called for in the deed was $5,250 of which amount $1,500 was paid in cash and the balance of $3,750 was represented in five promissory notes bearing 8% per annum interest from date until paid secured by a vendor’s lien and mortgage on the property.
