KELLY, Judge:

In this appeal we are called upon to determine whether the trial court was correct in retroactively converting an unallocated spousal and child support order that was continued after the entry of the divorce decree in a bifurcated proceeding into an order for alimony pendente lite and using the arrearage on the unpaid alimony pendente lite as a replacement for alimony when making its determination of equitable distribution of the marital assets.
