¶ 1. This dispute stems from the cleanup efforts on the Mississippi Gulf Coast due to the Deep Water Horizon BP oil spill in 2010. Gulfstream Enterprises Inc. (Gulf-stream) sued Knights Marine & Industrial Services Inc. (Knights) under the open-account statute in the County Court of Jackson County, alleging Knights failed to pay the full balance owed to Gulfstream for providing a crew-transport vessel with a captain and crew.
