Timothy A. Nesja appeals from an order of the circuit court for Brown county, Judge Peter J. Naze; Debra A.E. appeals from an order of the circuit court for La Crosse county, Judge Peter G. Pappas. Each appeal is from an order denying the defendant’s motion for an evaluation of the defendant's competency to participate in post-conviction relief proceedings. The appeals have been consolidated and are before the court on certification from the court of appeals pursuant to sec. (Rule) 809.61, STATS. 1991-92.
