OPINION

TRAXLER, Circuit Judge:

William Lee Jones, Jr., was convicted of possessing with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of cocaine base, see 21 U.S.C.A. § 841(a)(1) (West 1999), and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, see 18 U.S.C.A. § 924(c)(1)(A)® (West 2000).
