This action was instituted by the receiver of the American Bank & Trust Company, in the administration of the affairs of the defunct bank, to determine the respective rights and liabilities of the several parties to the suit, growling out of the transactions hereinafter detailed:(1) The state treasurer contends that he is entitled to judgment against the First National Bank’of Batesburg for $50,000, with interest at 4 per cent, per annum, from June 1, 1926; that being the amount of a deposit of the state funds made by him with the…
