This matter comes before the Court on Plaintiff The E.W. Scripps Company and Subsidiaries’ Motion for Summary Judgment (doc. #22) and the United States’ Motion for Summary Judgment (doc. # 23). Plaintiff The E.W. Scripps Company and Subsidiaries (“Scripps”) filed suit against Defendant United States of America, claiming that it is entitled to recover interest accrued on its overpayment of taxes for the 1986 tax year.
