This case was brought in the court of common pleas for Hampton county, and removed into this court by a petition of the defendant Standard Oil Company. The complaint sets forth two causes of action. The first cause of action states substantially that the defendants published a certain libelous letter, a copy of which is set forth in the complaint (but without the *814signature thereto), and that the publication was made in pursuance of a .conspiracy.
