The appellant, Carlos Castillo, appeals from the circuit court's dismissal of his petition for postconviction relief, filed pursuant to Rule 32, Ala.R.Crim.P., in which he attacked his 1998 convictions for eight counts of capital murder, one count of attempted murder, and his resulting sentences of life imprisonment without parole for each of the capital-murder convictions and to life imprisonment for the attempted-murder conviction.
