MORTON, District Judge.
The question presented is whether on the facts stated this eourt has jurisdiction in admiralty (1) to enforce maritime liens for services, supplies, etc., and (2) of a suit to foreclose a ship mortgage on Showboat. Jurisdiction is opposed by the state court receiver on the ground that she is not a “vessel” within the admiralty meaning.
The Revised Statutes, § 3, provide that “the word 'vessel’ includes every description of water craft or other artificial contrivance used, or capable of being used, as a means of transportation on water.” 1 USCA § 3, page 6. Showboat is…
