This is an action of contract in which the plaintiff under Count I seeks to recover $966.90 on a check of Charles F. Bates, under Count II the sum of $780.38 on a check of the defendant, Dorothy E. Bates, and under Count III the sum of $2,008.43 *91for merchandise sold and delivered to the defendant, Charles F. Bates. The answer is a general denial and plea of payment.
