This action was brought to recover damages for injuries sustained by the negligence of defendant. The plaintiff, T. C. Steele, was on 9 September, 1913, engaged as a carpenter in the construction of a five-story reenforced concrete building for H. L. Grant, defendant, in the city of Goldsboro. Steele is a carpenter by trade, with several years experience, and had been at work on this building since 1 July, 1913.
