{¶ 1} Defendant-appellant, Douglas L. Lawson, appeals from his convictions for one count of aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a fifth degree felony under R.C. 2925.11(A) and (C)(1)(a) ; and one count of petty theft, a first degree misdemeanor under R.C. 2913.02(A)(1) and (B)(2). Lawson, who pleaded guilty to the two offenses, argues that the trial court erred by disregarding the record when it sentenced him to concurrent terms in prison, rather than sentencing him to community control.
