SIMEONE, Judge.

This is an appeal from a judgment of the circuit court of Jackson County entered on February 11, 1977, wherein the defendant-appellant, William Oxley was fined $20.00 for exceeding the posted speed limit in the City of Kansas City in violation of a municipal ordinance. Mr. Oxley was originally charged by the City in the municipal court and was fined $20.00. Defendant appealed to the circuit court of Jackson County (Rule 37.38) where the charge was tried de novo (Rule 37.84).
