PATRICK E. HIGGINBOTHAM, Circuit Judge:

The defendant appeals his 27-month prison sentence and lifetime term of supervised release following a guilty plea to failing to register as a sex offender, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2250(a). He con tends that his sentence was both procedurally and substantively unreasonable. We AFFIRM in part, and we VACATE and REMAND in part.
