The plaintiff, Joan S., appeals from an order of the Hillsborough County Superior Court dismissing her petition requesting the court to impose alimony, child support, and other obligations on the defendant, John S. The petition alleged the following facts. The plaintiff and the defendant lived together without benefit of marriage continuously from 1963 or 1964 until the filing of the petition in June 1979. The parties have four children, ranging in age from ten to fourteen. Both the plaintiff, who is unemployed, and the children are totally dependent for their support upon the defendant. The…
