Plaintiff, a Negro man thirty-one years of age, sustained physical injuries on the night of Saturday, October 2d 1943, just north of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Alleging that these injuries resulted from a fall from a passenger train of the defendant railroad company on which he was a passenger for hire, and that the said fall was caused by negligence of the employees of the defendant company, plaintiff brought this suit praying for judgment for $31,000.
