Plaintiffs brought suit in the circuit court of Du Page County charging that defendants (including not only the appellants but another neighbor, Robert Rodi, and a landscaper, Joseph McGoldrick, individually, and doing business as Joseph McGoldrick Landscaping) had willfully obstructed the natural flow of surface water from plaintiffs’ property thus causing the water to back up on plaintiffs’ adjoining property and damaging plaintiffs’ trees and shrubs and making the property unusable.
