FLETCHER, Chief Judge:

The appellant was convicted, pursuant to his pleas, of simultaneous sale and possession of cocaine in violation of Article 92, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 892. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, forfeiture of $229.00 pay per month for 12 months, confinement at hard labor for 12 months, and reduction to the grade of airman basic. The convening authority reduced the period of confinement and forfeitures to 9 months, but otherwise approved the sentence.
